- As I researched fields of different occupations I realized that I would love to work in the business field. However, I was lost on what kind of business that I wanted to pursue. Once I went to Ms. Dawn Ryburn, Director of Program Management and Communications at RICOH, I realized that Ms. Ryburn's job was very intriguing and maybe an occupation that I may want to pursue (in-person).
- Why did you choose this job? How many years have you been working on your job? How many more years do you plan on working at your job? Do you enjoy your job? Can you describe your typical day? Does your job take any unique talents?
When I got to speak with Ms. Dawn Ryburn I learned a plethora of different things. Ms. Ryburn mentioned her story of how she got to where she is today and it inspired me. From her not taking the traditional root of college right away and started a job at Penn, led her to free tuition as she worked there. Next, she got her job at RICOH and has been there for 17 years working as a Director of Program Management and Communications. For this occupation, qualities of leadership, good writing, teamwork, marketing, networking, and problem-solving are very essential for the job. Additionally, Ms. Ryburn mentioned how she is business partners with the Eagles and they established a hologram in the Eagles lobby. Overall, Ms. Ryburn and the company RICOH seemed very interesting and intrigued me to consider Technology/Communications/Management as an occupation to pursue.
